Either by ordering a bigger stock for yourself that will last longer or ask your friends, neighbours and build up a big enough order. You might earn some cash out of it as it will be well cheaper for them than the price they pay at a petshop for thier things. 2. Ask your vet for a repeat prescription. As law has changed recently your vet can now charge for issuing a written prescription. This should be 'a reasonable fee' according to the legislative text. This in practice means a fee of between £5-20 usually. If you ask for a repeat prescription the price you need to pay for is the same but you can order your medicines for longer period of time, usually 6 months, with the same prescription. On the form the vet can indicate how many times we can use it to give you your medicine. Usually we can do it between two medical checks of your pet which is in most medical conditions, 3-6 months. 3. Help us being cheap. Bookmark this page.
